It costs 800 Resources and three Butanium to build this automated patrol unit. The same technology that produced the Attack Drone also enabled Eaggra engineers to create the Scout Drone. Research for Drone construction must be done at a Dish before a unit can build one. Only a unit with Construction skill level three can build a Drone. Scout Drones have a self-destructive blast attack, and can fly over impassable ground, but are more useful for mapping unknown terrain than direct combat. This function should not be disregarded, as the Scout Drone provides crucial intelligence regarding enemy troop movement. Once a Scout Drone is launched, you see unit movement and terrain changes in any area that S.U.N. units have travelled - all other areas of the map are gray.
